Objectives
Procurement
To promote sustainability throughout the supply chain of products and services used and/or provided by Hill & Knowlton through procurement practices.
Energy Use
To reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20% by 2010 (from 2007 levels) through reductions in energy demand, improvements in energy efficiency, increased use of non-fossil fuel energy and if necessary, the support of projects that realize incremental greenhouse gas emission reductions.
Waste Management
To reduce the amount of waste generated in our operations by using less new materials, optimizing the recovery of materials for re-use and recycling, and proper disposal of hazardous wastes.
Workplace
To maintain a safe and healthy work environment through the application of policies and practices that enhance indoor air quality, minimize the spread of infection and disease and contribute to overall productivity.
