Hill & Knowlton invented public relations as a discipline over 80 years ago. Since that time, we've grown, developed and adapted this discipline, and kept it on the leading edge throughout unprecedented economic, social and technological change.

Hill & Knowlton Canada was created in 1989 through the synergy of three specialist companies, each a leader in its field:

• PAI, founded in 1973, Canada's original government relations firm.
• Hill & Knowlton, the world's foremost communications company, founded in 1927, established in Canada in 1980.
• Decima Research, Canada's pathfinding opinion research firm, founded in 1979.

In 1999, we expanded our presence in Quebec by merging with Quebec City-based Ducharme Perron. The new company, Hill & Knowlton/Ducharme Perron, is today one of Quebec's largest public relations and public affairs consulting firms, offering services in both official languages.

Hill & Knowlton Canada expanded its operations in western Canada in 2004 with the acquisition of Alberta based Sparks + Noble, a leading public relations and public affairs agency which specialized in the energy sector.

With the addition of Calgary-based Hill & Knowlton Result in 2006, Hill & Knowlton is now able to offer clients expert service in the writing and production of annual reports, and the drafting of other financial documents and press releases.
